that, was my jersey when i played with srjc 2 yrs ago.
remember that time, i was really engrossed in doing well in this sport. got many games in hand and i just wanna win every single match. however, i know it is impossible, for at least in my heart i understand that my team isn't made up of good players or star players.
to the very least, i am champion for my house aquila.
my house aquila, was the yellow house for srjc. it seemed strong that season during my era. maybe stronger players are concentrated there. who knows?
that was when i got my first chance as a starting 5 on the court. i rarely got a chance to start the 5. main reason is because of my height.
standing at 167m, i stand little chance of being able to put into play with players of 1.75 in average height. even the opponent point guards are somehow half a head taller than me. however, it doesn't bring me down. i've got speed.
i was a shooter for the team then. i trained hard for 3 point shots and it did pay out during the match. the shots somehow brought the scores closer when we are catching up, and further when we are leading.
now, with my current group of buddies, i played as a small forward for them. its a pretty fresh position, cuz i never ever played as a forward before. being a small forward requires a high rate of scoring and an all round offensive display. not an easy job. being a point guard to me seems much easier.
well, i guessed we have improved, not much but at least it is there. i've polished away the rust off my skills and techinques.
hope we can do better. =)
