Duty, Honour, Country....
i think there's some problem with the blogger. damn. lucky they still gimme this small box to type on. -.-
okay i will be booking back in in a few hours time. Time really flies, especially when u are out of the camp. everything seems really fast. its not like the time we had in tekong which was absolutely slowwwww. horrible heat waves everyday. many have suffered from heat rashes and heat exhaustion. however its part of army life which i had to go thru over this 2 yrs.
to be honest, i dislike army life just as much as i dislike war. but i have to learn to like it. cuz whether i like it or not im gonna go thru this shit for 2 yrs. my CO told us its about choices. i kinda agreed. cuz i can choose not to serve my country and migrate. but why do i serve? cuz i wanna be part of this small island. my family stays here, my frens stays here. how can i abandon them just for the sake of having good life out there?singapore needs us, and i feel we should give ourselves to her. its our duty to protect our own country. perhaps u can think that this is just another politically correct model answer. but its true.
nobody understands our feelings. unless they have really been thru it, they wont know how we feel exactly inside. many others take it for granted that we have such a powerful armed forces. its all our hard work. we do not need compliments or praises. all we want is appreciation. it will make our sacrifices worthwhile.
ps: Manchester United are champions for EPL 2006/2007. woots!~ (actually i knew this when i was in the field camp =P)
